Forestry is undergoing one of its biggest transformations in decades — a shift where AI enables a new level of data-driven precision. With reliable, real-time remote sensing data at the core of their platform, Mellanskog gains an up-to-date view of any member forest, at any time. “With digital technology and remote sensing, we can reach down to individual trees,” said Henrik Boström, CDO at Mellanskog. “This changes everything — it opens up new possibilities”.

With automated data as the foundation, time spent on manual collection decreases significantly — freeing up resources for more complex, strategic planning. “Terra Labs model means heavy data collection can be handled by technology,” Isabelle Bergkvist, Head of Forest Management at Mellanskog, explained. It’s a fantastic breakthrough.”
