Privacy Notice
1 Introduction
Terra Labs provides a Platform which allows you, by using multiple data sources (i.a. satellite data) and artificial intelligence (AI) technology, to obtain insights to facilitate management and monitor your areas (lands and forests) (the “Terra Labs Platform” and the “Services”).
The Services are provided online via Terra Lab’s interfaces; API and applications for desktop and mobile.
In this privacy notice, we describe what personal data about you that we use and why when providing our Services and the Terra Labs Platform, when you are visiting or using our websites (available on terralabs.com and terralabs.ai) and other digital channels, and when you otherwise interact with us, including your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2 About satellite data
Users are able to access satellite data of their areas in the Terra Labs Platform. The satellite data is evaluated, compared and analyzed by us to provide relevant estimations and insights for the users.
The satellite data provides a high-level view of the relevant areas, meaning that it will not be possible, as a main rule, to identify any individuals through the images or the data generated from the images. In other words, the satellite data will normally not constitute personal data as defined under the GDPR.
However, where satellite data, alone or combined with other information relating to an identifiable individual, qualifies as personal data, we rely on our legitimate interest under Article 6.1 (f) of the GDPR for the processing of the satellite data to provide our Services, which we consider outweighs the privacy interest of the individuals concerned, especially given that the potential impact on the potential individuals concerned that the processing may imply would be very limited, if any impact at all. The satellite data is stored in the Services for as long as the Services are provided by us to allow users to analyze changes to their areas over time to obtain insights.

We store your personal data within the EU/EEA. The Terra Labs Platform is hosted on servers within the EU. We transfer, in certain cases, your personal data to recipients located in third countries outside the EU/EEA, for example to service providers which we engage in such a third country.
To ensure an essentially equivalent level of protection for your personal data when transferred (or otherwise made available) to service providers in third countries outside of the EU/EEA which do not provide an adequate level of protection, we normally use the EU Commission’s adopted standard contractual clauses for international transfers according to decision 2021/914 and implement – in light of the law and practices of the third country – necessary supplementary measures to bring the level of protection of the personal data transferred to an essentially equivalent level.
We also rely upon adequacy decisions by the EU Commission where personal data is transferred to countries and recipients covered by such decisions. Adequacy decisions are issued by the EU Commission when it has decided that such a country and/or recipient provides adequate protection for personal data.
